Tokyo is the capital of Japan and is one of the most beautiful, bustling, busiest cities in the world. Tokyo is such a diversified destination with so many different lifestyles and cultures breathing under it, it’s difficult to describe it with just one word. But all can agree that Tokyo is the capital of Cool!

Today I want to introduce a new book called “Tokyo: Capital of Cool”, authored by Rob Goss. This book is really useful to foreigners from around the world who plan to travel to Tokyo, Japan to witness its coolness. It briefly talks about what Tokyo is about and showcasing the uniqueness of different sightseeing locations within different parts of Tokyo. Each page comes with a mix of images and text and you will be amazed at how crazy cool Japan is.

In Japan, the sense of architecture design has been outstanding for all these years. But through the years, the aesthetic value of the architecture and the concept of living has been changing to fit the owners vision of life and their modern lifestyle. In this post, we will dive into some of the modern cool looking Japanese houses.

Below are some examples of modern architecture designs that I found on the Internet that I would like to share with you guys. As you can see the shape of the houses are normally geometrical and very minimal interior design, using a lot of wood and glass that allows huge amount of natural lights to light up the inside during the day. There are many websites that designers and artists can use to showcase their brilliant works for example: Dribbble, Behance, DeviantArt and more. With these sites, designers able to showcase their works, find inspiration, make new friends and get more exposure too! Today, I’m going to introduce JAYPEG, a design showcase site that originated from Japan.

The interface design of the JAYPEG website is really clean and minimal. The navigation is really straightforward, and the uploaded designs were arranged in a form of stack. There are only three public stacks at the moment: The Popular stack showing the popular entries; the Latest stack that displays the latest uploads; finally the Newbie stack for first timer. In there, we can find some really nice designs from Japanese designers. Below are some of the cool examples.

Mount Fuji… what a beautiful mountain. Located on the Honshu island, Mount Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan at 3776 meter height. It’s very well-known iconic symbol for Japan, and often featured in paintings and photographs. In this post, I’m going to share with you really nice photos of Mount Fuji from various photographers.

I was lucky to see Mount Fuji with my own eye on a clear day when I was in Japan three years ago. The shape of the mountain is extremely symmetrical and harmony.
