Japan - The Strange Country
22.03.10Filed Under: Japan
Japan is one of the most technology advanced and interesting country in the world. It’s a country that preserved the traditional culture and yet trendy and modern. From the sources from the Internet, we always read a lot of articles saying that Japan is a strange country with unique sense of lifestyle. But how well we know actually? Thanks to Kenichi, he put up an interesting info-graphic video of how he think that Japan is indeed a strange country!
Instead of using Japanese point of view, he narrated the video with foreigners’ viewpoint. He briefly summarize it into eight categories. The points are really interesting and I certainly can feel that what he said is definitely correct because I experienced it when I was in Japan last year! Please watch the video and enjoy. Perhaps after watching, your perception towards Japan changed?

When I first read the title I was worried but this video turned out to be pretty good. It’s a bit broad with some sweeping statements but informative and the animation & production is fantastic. I learned a couple things =)
March 22nd, 2010 at 11:07 pmI am a Japanese person studying design in the US. The graphics are really well done, but the atomic bomb part in the Video was kinda disturbing…esp since u made the character in kinda comical way..
March 25th, 2010 at 8:52 amThat was a really well made video, I’m sure people didn’t know that before! While it is nice to let Japan off the western made pedestal, as a Japanese person, I’m feeling a rather accusing undertone~
March 26th, 2010 at 8:27 amHi icecream, the video is not done by me (How I wish I have such skill to make such great video!). I know the atomic bomb part is disturbing, but history is history, it can’t be changed.
