Today, I want to introduce you a song called “Lifetime Respect ~女編 (onna hen)~” sang by a group RSP who originated from Kansai area. This song is released in August 8th, 2007 with the first week selling of 26,477 units. What makes this song unique is it actually is an answer song to the original version of “Lifetime Respect” which sang by Douzan Miki (三木道三) that released 6 years ago.
The original version which sang by Douzan Miki was served as a proposal song for a man to the girl he likes to become his wife and get together forever. During the release, the touching lyrics of the song was favored by many people and became a big hit.
But it will be hanging half-way if there is no answer from the female. RSP completed that by this woman version (女編) and from the rhythm, it suggests that the woman is agree on the proposal. Before going to the lyric of the song, let me introduce you further more about this rising star group.
Who is RSP
RSP is a 6 member group consists of 2 female vocalist and 4 dancers (2 male and female each). All of them came from Kansai area. During debut, their documentary broadcast on the topic about themselves in the Kansai region, had recorded great viewership despite the airing time is in the middle of midnight.
They debuted in December 2006 with the single “A Street Story”. The single was entered the top 10 best selling single chart in Kansai area, and they become well known in there. This song is the theme song for a drama called “Real Street”, acted by RSP. The drama also recorded a good viewership rating too.

With the release of “Lifetime Respect ~Woman Edition~”, their 2nd single, the song already made some noise in the music industry. Now RSP is getting ready to blast out to whole nationwide, with the proud Kansai identity on their chest!
An answer song to man’s proposal
The song’s rhythm is very relaxing, the voice of the two female vocalist is comfortable and the lyrics is simple yet meaningful. The Promotional Video of the song was shot under a wooden house, with all the members are there singing and dancing. They dance well too.
Because this song is the answer song to original Douzan’s version, some lyrics is being implemented to this woman edition too. For example the chorus translation below by hinagiku85, it is like proposal from Douzan’s and answers from RSP’s:
